Why Run
The reason why I created Run is simple: there was no such open source and free application. So runners had to rely either on paper and pen diary or on those few and far between online running diaries over which you have almost no control. Run is free and open for everyone.
Use Run instead of your paper and pen diary to overcome its inherent limitations. Run will help you achieve your goals faster, because analysing your running data with Run is easy. With Run you can log every detail of your running activities, measure and track your progress and effort, and recognize fitness patterns. Use Run to maximize efficiency and avoid injuries.
Why is Run Better
First of all Run is different. Because it's all about you and your running. No meaningless bells and whistles. No graphics clutter. Run is better because it takes no time to learn how to use it and once you start using it, it's a breeze. And since it's quite easy to set up, once you have it up and running, your whole family or all your club members can use it, because Run was built with multiple users in mind. And what's even more important, Run is better because you can get your copy of Run for free.
Under the Hood
Run is an open source enhanced interactive training log for runners built completely on open standards. It is written in PHP, HTML, CSS, and there's also some JavaScript. So, in order to use Run, you'll need a web server, PHP and MySQL installed. It's easier to set up than it sounds.
